Pedagogies of Place: A Faculty Development Workshop About Teaching in Queens

This workshop invites QC faculty to consider their pedagogy in the context of the place we call Queens. Drawing from interdisciplinary approaches to place-based education and pedagogies of writing, this three-day in-person workshop will include a mix of hands-on activities, hearing from different people across campus, and time to work on projects.

SUNY/CUNY SEAC Spring 2026 Research & Publishing Grants

SEAC annually awards a small number of fieldwork grants for faculty, and pre-dissertation/dissertation research grants (which may include language training) for graduate students. Awards will be for up to $5,000. SEAC also will five grants of up to $1,000 each to support faculty publishing related to Southeast Asia and Southeast Asians, including in the diaspora.
