More than half of New York City’s app-based food delivery workers have been injured on the job and 40% meet the criteria for severe psychological distress according to a new data brief from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (CUNY SPH), in partnership with the Worker’s Justice Project (WJP).
A study by CUNY SPH Distinguished Professor Luisa N. Borrell and York College Adjunct Assistant Professor Thinh Toan Vu found that the estimated likelihood of binge drinking was unevenly distributed across groups of high school students, with the highest estimates among 12th graders who identified as Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, gay, lesbian, or bisexual.
