Supreme Court rules to uphold birthright citizenship

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the executive order Trump issued in January 2025 seeking to end birthright citizenship was unlawful. Specifically, five justices said that the executive order violated the Constitution’s 14th Amendment.
