Selected participants, of Japanese American heritage or adoption, will attend an 8-day trip to Japan where they will visit many historical and educational sites, experience traditional and cultural activities, and participate in lectures and workshops. Each trip will visit Tokyo and one or two other cities.

NARS supports early- to mid-career artists working across all disciplines through one- and two-season residencies. We are pleased to offer partial fellowships, covering the majority of the program fee, to all US-based artists. One US-based artist receives a full fellowship covering the entire cost of the program for one season.
