Join Asian American / Asian Research Institute’s Localized History Project, and The Asian American Education Project, in partnership with the United Federation of Teachers, for an immersive evening dedicated to the rich, localized history of Staten Island’s Asian American community. Hosted by NYC AAPI Studies K-12 Project, this interactive event invites New York City teachers, community members, and youth to bridge the gap between history and the classroom through storytelling, community building, and curriculum development. Attendees will walk away with tangible resources to support AAPI history education in K-12 schools.
