Representing a truly global mosaic, the talented student writers and contributors are from across the CUNY system, drawing on their unique heritage and personal journeys from places such as Bangladesh, China, India, Iraq, Jamaica, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines to reflect on what it means to navigate multiple cultural worlds.
The CUNY AAFF helps to promote the artistic visual talents and stimulate communication among CUNY students who are separated by the different campuses, and serve as a central location to display their creative works. Past participants have also had their films screened at the Asian American International Film Festival.
In their study, Prof. Esther Son explores the mental health challenges and barriers to accessing services faced by Asian American/Asian college students at the College of Staten Island/CUNY, particularly after the pandemic.

The South and Southeast Asian American Equity Scholarship awards a $2,000 scholarship to CUNY undergraduate students who demonstrate a strong academic, creative, or community-based interest in South or Southeast Asian American communities.
