The reception will introduce faculty and staff to the Asian American / Asian Research Institute; our mission as a university-wide scholarly research and resource center that focuses on policies and issues that affect Asians and Asian Americans and professional development opportunities and programs available.
The purpose of the reception is to introduce CUNY faculty and staff, old and new, to the Asian American / Asian Research Institute; our mission as a university-wide scholarly research and resource center that focuses on policies and issues that affect Asians and Asian Americans; and the programs that are available for them. Attendees will have the prime opportunity to create new relationships and network with colleagues like themselves, from different fields across the twenty-three CUNY colleges.
Recently published a book, or made a presentation on your area of expertise, but no one else in CUNY knows about it? Here’s your chance to meet other members of CUNY who share in the same dilemma. Come to the reception that is for you, the new CUNY Asian faculty and staff, and let yourself be known beyond your corner office cubicle.
Dr. Brenda Malone, CUNY Vice Chancellor for Faculty Relations, and the Hon. Trustee Wellington Z. Chen, member of the CUNY Board of Trustees will join members of the AAARI board to welcome new Asian faculty and staff to the CUNY family. Later in the evening, Trustee Chen will also dialog with those present about the vision of CUNY for the Asian American community.
This lecture will explore China’s reception of the celebrated physicist and his theory of relativity between 1917 and 1979.
