Celebrate the publication of Aleah N. Ranjitsingh’s edited volume The Asian Caribbean in the Caribbean Diaspora: Essays on Migration, Identity, and Literary and Cultural Representations. The volume expands notions of the Caribbean diaspora to account for the Asian as part of the Caribbean and Caribbean diaspora.
New York City teachers, community members, and youth are invited for an interactive day of storytelling, community building, and curriculum development on the localized history of The Bronx’s Asian American community.
We invite students, scholars, and/or practitioners, within and outside of CUNY, to share their innovative research and creative works, pedagogical projects, programmatic efforts, models for organizing and activism, and other activities at CUNY that address critical issues in Asian American studies and/or communities.
Celebrate the launch of WSQ: Asian Diasporas, co-sponsored by WSQ and the Asian American / Asian Research Institute – CUNY. Join us for a free full-day event with engaging plenary panels and poetry reading to celebrate the launch of this special issue by WSQ. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be available.
