A special ceremony was held to commemorate the co-naming of Cortlandt Alley on Canal Street to “Hon. Thomas Tam Way”, after the late Dr. Thomas Tam, the first Executive Director of the Asian American / Asian Research Institute, the first Asian member of the CUNY Board of Trustees, and a co-founder of the Chinatown Health Clinic now known as the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center.
This event celebrated the induction of approximately 200 Baruch College students into the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, recognizing their academic excellence with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Alongside the ceremony, the chapter highlighted its outreach initiatives, including internship workshops, networking events, and participation in charitable activities like the March of Dimes Walk and Relay for Life.
