CCNY Asian Alumni Honor AAARI

The Asian Alumni of the Alumni Association of The City College of New York (CCNY) honored the Asian American / Asian Research Institute with an Asian / American Achievement Award in special recognition of an organization for service to the community, during its Lunar New Year Dinner Dance on February 10, 2007 at Peking Park Restaurant.

Presenting the award to AAARI was Prof. Ngee-Pong Chang, AAARI Board Member and Director of Trade and Technology Studies. Accepting the award on behalf of AAARI was Dr. Thomas Tam, Executive Director; Dr. Hiroko Karan, Vice-Chairperon; and Prof. Nehru E. Cherukupalli, Interim Executive Director.

Also honored at the dinner was Mr. Henry Chang, CCNY Class of 1975, and author of Chinatown Beat.
