2025 Summer Leadership Institute (Chinatown Youth Initiatives)

Summer Leadership Institute is a two-month program that consists of a series of weekly workshops pertaining to issues around Asian-American identity, history, politics, and more. Past workshop topics have included discussions around the history of Asians in America, settler colonialism and American imperialism, anti-blackness in Asian American communities, disability, and gender and sexuality.

Hunter-Bellevue Student Wins Nurse Leader Award

Emily Feng Zhang ’25, was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to Chinese immigrant parents and relocated to Brooklyn when she was four. A first-generation college student, she was accepted into Hunter’s Nursing Scholars Program, which gave her a full-tuition scholarship and invaluable academic and professional guidance.
