Working Films Impact Kickstart for Non-Fiction Filmmakers

Now in its eight year, we invite our nonfiction filmmakers to apply to Impact Kickstart. We will select and support a cohort of filmmakers with impact campaign funds in the range of $10,000 – $20,000, with an anticipated announcement in late 2025 and disbursement in early 2026.

Arthur Sze named 25th U.S. poet laureate

The Library of Congress has announced Arthur Sze as the 25th U.S. poet laureate. Sze has had a decades-long career as a poet, with his work often drawing inspiration from philosophy, science and nature. He’s also an editor and translator of poetry. Sze will start on Oct. 9, taking over from Ada Limón.

Apply to No Hate New York State Youth Council (NYS Human Rights)

This paid, certificate-based program empowers young New Yorkers to become leaders in hate and bias prevention, advocacy, and community change. Through this 8-month program participants will complete a series of workshops and project development with mentorship and guidance from the Hate and Bias Prevention Unit, Regional Councils, and external partnerships.
