Arthur Sze, the national poet laureate appointed by the Library of Congress last month, visited Queens College, in Flushing for a poetry reading on Dec. 8. Sze was joined by NYS Poet Laureate Kimiko Hahn, a distinguished professor at the college, who both read several poems and discussed the art of literary translation.

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Language Access, the Coordinator, Cultural and Language Access Services will assist the Office of Language Access in creating interpretation and translation standards for state agencies, developing quality control mechanisms to monitor the provision of language access services, and overall providing their expertise in implementing best practices.
