SEAC annually awards a small number of fieldwork grants for faculty, and pre-dissertation/dissertation research grants (which may include language training) for graduate students. Awards will be for up to $5,000. SEAC also will five grants of up to $1,000 each to support faculty publishing related to Southeast Asia and Southeast Asians, including in the diaspora.
This award supports first-generation undergraduate students, who often face unique barriers in their pursuit of higher education, to help them overcome these challenges and thrive in college.
We invite students, scholars, organizers and artists from all backgrounds to submit proposals that investigate what the recent victory of Zohran Mamdani as mayor reveals about the future of Asian American identity, the intersection of class and race, and the evolving strategies of civic engagement in an increasingly polarized era.
The Equal Opportunity Specialist 3 will work closely with the Assistant Director to provide DEI Office oversight and management. They will lead, coach, and supervise DEI staff to design and implement innovative approaches to advance cultural and linguistic competence at OPWDD.
