Brooklyn City Councilmember Susan Zhuang represents the 43rd City Council District in Bensonhurst, which has a majority Asian population.

The City University of New York has selected eight stellar undergraduate students and recent graduates to receive the University’s Jonas E. Salk Scholarship, an annual award granted to those accepted to medical schools or graduate programs in the biomedical sciences. The recipients were approved by the CUNY Board of Trustees on May 19.
