After graduation, Dr. Mateo will continue in her role as Deputy Director of Research & Operations at HITLAB, a healthcare innovation technology lab offering digital health research, teaching, and advisory services.
Dr. Bernardo’s research examined how social constructions of who “deserves” Medicaid impacted its eligibility design in six states soon after the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law.
