Carmina Bernardo, new CUNY SPH DPH, on “The Social Construction of Deservedness in Medicaid Eligibility Design: A Qualitative Content Analysis of State Policy Responses to the Affordable Care Act”

Dr. Bernardo’s research examined how social constructions of who “deserves” Medicaid impacted its eligibility design in six states soon after the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law.

Three Kingsborough Community College Faculty Members Awarded Mellon/ACLS Community College Faculty Fellowships

Three members of the Kingsborough Community College (KCC) faculty have been awarded Mellon/ACLS (American Council of Learned Societies) Community College Faculty Fellowships: Dr. Libby Garland, associate professor of history; Dr. Debra Schultz, assistant professor of history; and Dr. Midori Yamamura, assistant professor of art.

CUNY Climate Crisis Research Grants Launch Efforts To Mitigate Effects Of Climate Change On Urban And Coastal Environments
