Sixty-three percent of Asian American voters across the nation cast their ballot for Democrat Joe Biden while 31 percent voted for President Trump, according to the NBC News Exit Poll of early and Election Day voters.
There are more than 300,000 South Asians in New York City, and this is the first time the community has elected a desi representative.
Those with an absentee ballot can still drop it off. These groups are helping to educate voters on processes.
The number of Muslim Americans who are registered to vote has shot up since 2016.
Voters can take advantage of same-day registration.
The purpose of the collaboration is to enhance academic and student support services for Asian American and Pacific Islander students, which includes immigrant students, first-generation college students and English Language learners.
