“I am appalled and horrified to learn that an Asian American man who was riding on the New York City subway was brutally beaten and injured. These hateful acts of violence have no place in New York – period.
The New York Police Department said it was searching for a man who kicked a 65-year-old woman, stomped on her and made anti-Asian statements. Building staff members who witnessed the attack and did not intervene have been suspended.
