Nearly 200 people rallied outside New York City Hall to demand equitable funding to serve the city’s AAPI Community.
Baruch College named Samantha Liu and Staci Steinfeld, respectively, as the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2024.
This event was made possible through a grant obtained in 2023 that will help the college better serve AAPI students and the community.
On Wednesday, May 8, the Hostos Anti-Hate Initiative’s series of events concluded for the year with a timely and thought-provoking presentation on Anti-Asian Hate and Mental Health by the Asian American Federation’s Associate Director of Programs Daphne Thammasila.
During Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, two nonprofits have launched a database to report and track incidents of hate and bias against the AAPI and Native Hawaiian communities in NYC.
