Ph.D candidate Thorfun Gehebe shares takeaways from her research on how bilingual children, especially those who speak Thai and English, switch between languages.

According to Big Island Now, the resolution celebrates the contributions made by the Southeast Asian American community. It also advocates for policies that will help Southeast Asian Americans and refugee communities flourish. It was introduced by Hirono and Rep. Derek Tran (D-CA45).

Arthur Sze, the national poet laureate appointed by the Library of Congress last month, visited Queens College, in Flushing for a poetry reading on Dec. 8. Sze was joined by NYS Poet Laureate Kimiko Hahn, a distinguished professor at the college, who both read several poems and discussed the art of literary translation.
