Russell Leong read two poems at the UC HASTINGS CENTER FOR RACIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE CONFERENCE: “CONNECTING THE THREADS THAT BIND: CONTEXTUALIZING LEGALIZED VIOLENCE AGAINST ASIAN AMERICANS” in September 2021.

For the first time, more than 60 Asian American and multicultural groups will convene on Saturday in Washington D.C. for a Unity March focused on addressing equity and safety for marginalized communities.

In a soon-to-be-published study, Professor Anita Raja (GC / Hunter, Computer Science) and a team of researchers report on the use of artificial intelligence to predict severe preeclampsia in first-time mothers. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health, which named the project a winner of its Decoding Maternal Morbidity Challenge in February.
