A commission established to look into the feasibility of a National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture officially got underway Thursday.

Three Asian and Asian American performers won major acting honors at the 78th annual Tony Awards, held June 8 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City — the highest number of AAPI acting wins in a single year.

The New York State Senate yesterday passed legislation, S634B, to address the alarming rates of undiagnosed diabetes in AAPI communities. The bill requires health insurance companies to cover diabetes screenings for patients at a lower Body Mass Index (BMI) in accordance with nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines.

Emily Feng Zhang ’25, was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to Chinese immigrant parents and relocated to Brooklyn when she was four.
