U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris (D-CA) on Thursday announced the COVID-19 Racial and Ethnic Disparities Task Force Act, legislation to bring together health care and other policy experts, community-based organizations, and federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial leaders to confront the racial and ethnic disparities of the coronavirus pandemic head-on.
CAAM funded “Drawn Together” and “Jaddoland” make their broadcast premieres, along with a full slate of documentary programming for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

“Right now, the American experience, everything we’re going through is the immigrant experience. To me, it’s about resilience,” the activist said.
“Our government is not providing resources. And so now our neighbors have to,” Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou told NBC News.
“I think for one of the first times in my congressional career I feel like my colleagues see our Asian American issues as something they’re concerned about, too, which is a good feeling.”
