Tributes to New York City photographer Corky Lee continue to flow in, more than a year after his death in January 2021.

Stacey Park Milbern, who had muscular dystrophy, dedicated most of her life to advocating for disability justice and challenging the mainstream disability rights movement for marginalizing people of color and nontraditional gender identities.

For the Southern Poverty Law Center, the legislation was an important step forward after decades of work combating the threat of hate crime.
