AAARI Two years after deadly wildfires hit Lahaina, archaeologists, conservators and congregants have taken on a “CSI” challenge: saving thousands of cultural artifacts from landmarks and sacred sites.
Films in this year’s CUNY Shorts Showcase, part of the 48th Asian American International Film Festival deal with topics/genres including: how healthcare workers navigate life and death, the intimate experiences of living in New York City basements, a Thai immigrant’s journey through grief and artistic renewal, a Chinese-Canadian filmmaker’s reflections on identity and belonging, the intriguing idea of subconsciously inviting bad luck, and the demanding yet transformative lives of student-parents.
Reporting to the President, the SVP will provide strategic leadership and oversight of operations, finance, information technology, human resources, facilities, auxiliary entities, and other administrative units of the college.
The Deputy Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for mitigating rising cyber threats, performance bottlenecks, and compliance risks. Under the direction of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean for Institutional Effectiveness will lead the College’s strategic planning process, and all matters related to external accreditation, general education assessment, program outcomes assessment and academic program review, and assessment of student learning and institutional effectiveness.
