AAARI There were roughly 145,723 English language learners (ELL)—representing 13.3 percent of all students, including school-age and preschool students—in New York City public schools last year. Two years after the pandemic hit the city, there are several academic areas in which ELLs have not recovered.
This summer, 2,000 CUNY students will launch their careers by interning in a job related to their major – while earning $20 per hour! CUNY Career Launch is recruiting undergrads who haven’t had substantial paid internship experience but who are ambitious, bright, and ready to apply the skills they’ve learned in the classroom to work.
