AAARI The Margins seeks work from writers for an ongoing monthly column on language, culture, and translation from Asia. We consider Asia as an umbrella term that encompasses all of its regions (South, Southeast, East, Central, and North Asia, and SWANA) and the many diaspora communities of Asians all over the world.
Bethany Kim, 21, was elected as the policy and education director of the Nursing Students’ Association of New York State at the group’s convention in late January. She will serve a one-year term.
On Tuesday, the Wisconsin State Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 240, which requires schools to include instructional program information related to Asian Americans and, more specifically, Hmong Americans.
