AAARI SUNY/CUNY Southeast Asia Consortium annually awards a small number of fieldwork grants for faculty, and pre-dissertation/dissertation research grants (which may include language training) for graduate students, and separately approximately five grants to support faculty publishing related to Southeast Asia and Southeast Asians, including in the diaspora.
This program aims to connect Japan scholars from the U.S., Southeast Asia, and Japan to foster collaborative scholarship and strengthen Japanese Studies across these regions.

This program provides support to outstanding scholars, researchers, and professionals in the field by offering the opportunity to conduct research in Japan.
The GO Queens Grant will fund Queens-based performing arts organizations to support their mission and work in the community. Flushing Town Hall will award forty-six $20,000 two-year grants ($10,000 per year) to Queens-based perfoming arts nonprofit organizations that have the performing arts as a core focus/component in their organization’s identity with annual operating budgets under $250,000.
