AAARI The City University of New York has selected eight stellar undergraduate students and recent graduates to receive the University’s Jonas E. Salk Scholarship, an annual award granted to those accepted to medical schools or graduate programs in the biomedical sciences. The recipients were approved by the CUNY Board of Trustees on May 19.

Today, U.S. Representative Grace Meng (D-NY), Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), and U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI) introduced the Teaching Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander History Act, bicameral legislation to promote the teaching of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) history in schools across the country.
