The New York State Senate yesterday passed legislation, S634B, to address the alarming rates of undiagnosed diabetes in AAPI communities. Summer Leadership Institute is a two-month program that consists of a series of weekly workshops pertaining to issues around Asian-American identity, history, politics, and more. Past workshop topics have included discussions around the history of Asians in America, settler colonialism and American imperialism, anti-blackness in Asian American communities, disability, and gender and sexuality.
