Apply to join Asian American History Curriculum Youth Advisory Board

The Asian American / Asian Research Institute – CUNY, and the Coalition for Asian American  Children + Families, are looking to establish a Youth Advisory Board students ages 16-22 to drive change around how Asian American Pacific Islander and Native Hawaiian History is taught in schools. Students will participant in monthly meetings to discuss what can be done better in schools, and then drive activist projects to make their vision of better schools happen. Apply by December 1st to be a part of this effort!

  • Participants will attend six meetings total, from Jan 2024 to June 2024
  • Meetings will take place on Zoom, from 6pm to 8pm on select Wednesdays
    • Participants will receive:
    • $250 gift card ($20 an hour)
  • Recommendation letters/references
