Join the Asian American / Asian Research Institute’s Localized History Project to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month for a free public teach-in on “Asian-Latine Solidarities.”

The Localized History Project will explore histories of solidarity and shared struggle between New York City’s Asian and Latine communities—from I Wor Kuen’s decades-long collaborations with the Young Lords, to tenant organizing in the Bronx, to the formation of Chino-Latino communities citywide.

Hear also from partners at the Latinidad Curriculum Initiative (Teachers College, Columbia University), who will share literature, lesson plans, and classroom materials designed to bring critical Latinidad histories into NYC public school classrooms.
