Join Asian American / Asian Research Institute’s Localized History Project, and The Asian American Education Project, for an immersive evening dedicated to the rich, localized history of Brooklyn’s Asian American community. Hosted by NYC AAPI Studies K-12 Project, this interactive event invites New York City teachers, community members, and youth to bridge the gap between history and the classroom through storytelling, community building, and curriculum development. Attendees will walk away with tangible resources to support AAPI history education in K-12 schools.

The NYC AAPI Studies K-12 Project is funded by the New York City Council’s Educational Equity Action Plan. It is a joint initiative between The Asian American Education Project and AAARI’s Localized History Project. Our mission is to provide free professional development and resources to support the teaching of AAPI history in New York City K-12 schools.
