In most situations, the average person only knows insurance as something they must have when buying a home or car, and so it’s not often considered as a career path by college students. Depending on your passion however, there is an insurance sector that will support that interest and turn it into a profession. Representatives from Seneca Insurance Company, the Hartford Insurance Company, and director of the Columbia University Master’s in Insurance Management program, will discuss careers in the insurance industry and how they are not only an intricate part of everyday life, but also an exciting and rewarding career path for CUNY students. Discover how insurance plays a role in everything from aerospace and agriculture to banking and politics.
