This co-sponsored screening of the documentary CHOSEN is part of the 17th Annual Korean American Film Festival New York (KAFFNY), running from November 8 to 13, 2023 in-person and online. Preceding CHOSEN will be the international premier of the short film THE TEMPLE OF NON-DUALITY.

CHOSEN by Joseph Juhn (USA 2022, 89 min)
In 2020, five Korean Americans of vastly diverse backgrounds with competing political views run for US Congress. David Kim is the only underdog with limited resources vying to be the first gay Korean American representative.

The Temple of Non-Duality by Sunah Kim (Korea 2023, 27 min)
Muyisa (The Temple of Non-Duality) holds a long-kept secret that has been handed down through generations of monks. One day, a mother who lost her daughter at the Itaewon Halloween Crush, visits the temple unexpectedly and discovers the secret.
