The Assistant Director of the Center for Comedic Arts provides key planning, programming, budgeting, and academic and administrative oversight of the Center for Comedic Arts and the interdisciplinary BFA in Comedic Arts. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of the Center for Comedic Arts and to the Dean of the School of the Arts.
In this position the curator uses their knowledge in the history of textiles and costume in the United States and its territories to integrate varied subdisciplines into her/his broader field, furthering the knowledge of the collection’s holdings, and fostering its stewardship.
The Artist/Scholar in Residence program supports artists or scholars in the creation of new scholarly and/or artists works that imaginatively study, experiment with, and/or critique the Library’s digital collections, materials, and/or services.
