AAARI celebrated its 20th anniversary as part of CUNY, and honored leaders and CUNY alumni, Joyce Moy (former Executive Director of AAARI), Hon. John C. Liu (NYS Senate, Queens 11th District) and Ms. Naheed Samadi Bahram (US Country Director for Women for Afghan Women; Queens College alumnae), as well as student award recipients for the CUNY Thomas Tam Scholarship (Vikii Wong, CUNY School of Professional Studies) and Chynn-CUNY Essay and Morality Essay Contest.

Arts & Culture Association Integrity Mini-Grant Program

Arts & Culture Association (IACA) Mini-Grants generally average $250, and are intended to assist with such things as: artistic supplies, recordings, studio time, exhibits, performances, project related expenses, residences, etc.

Apply for $500 Artist Grant for Visual Artists

Artist Grant provides a $500 USD grant to one visual artist each grant cycle. Once an artist wins a grant, they may not apply again. We also award 2nd and 3rd place runners-up with $100 USD each. Runners-up may apply again in a future grant cycle.

Graduate Center professor uses AI to weigh the risks of preeclampsia

In a soon-to-be-published study, Professor Anita Raja (GC / Hunter, Computer Science) and a team of researchers report on the use of artificial intelligence to predict severe preeclampsia in first-time mothers. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health, which named the project a winner of its Decoding Maternal Morbidity Challenge in February.
