2022 72 HOUR SHOOTOUT FILMMAKING COMPETITION COORDINATOR (ASIAN AMERICAN FILM LAB)

The 72 Hour Shootout: The 72 Hour Shootout is a high-profile global filmmaking competition that amplifies the voices of underrepresented filmmakers with a focus on Asian Americans. Filmmakers compete for exhibition in the annual Asian American International Film festival on national television through the Film Lab’s television series “Film Lab Presents,” and for network and professional mentorships to take their careers to the next level. The competition accepts registrants between March and May and the actual Shootout takes place the first weekend of June, during which filmmakers around the globe create short films, based on a common theme provided by the Film Lab, in 72 hours. Judges include ABC Executive Director of Casting, Marci Phillips, and the competition has been featured by Huffington Post, Backstage Magazine and more.  

Job Description:  Internship. The program coordinator will be organized, self-motivated and have excellent social media and marketing and skills, along with basic video editing skills and will be expected to promote the Shootout on social media and elsewhere between March and July and to edit the premiere screener in the summer of 2022.  

Parent Company: The Asian American Film Lab is a 501c3 not for profit corporation that promotes, supports and exhibits Asian Americans and other underrepresented groups in mainstream media.
