Ven. Changtzu (Lecturer, Fuyan Buddhist Institute, Taiwan)

Pointers on Meditation
A brief exploration of some key issues relating to meditation in the Buddhist practice. The main focus will look at the tool of right recollection, the proper choice of mental objects, and some common misunderstandings. The aim is to help practitioners clarify some sticky issues that may present obstacles to the practice of meditation.

Ven. Shiyi (Dharma & Art Teacher, Vihara Dharma Suci, Indonesia and New Zealand)

Invisible Force of Diligence
This will be an introductory discussion looking at the pāramitā of diligence. All the buddhas and bodhisattvas practice diligence. So why is it an important factor in the practice of Buddhism? What are the benefits derived from the pāramitā of diligence and how can we aspire to be diligent?

Ven. Yanrong (Translator, Yinshun Cultural and Educational Foundation, Taiwan)

Characteristics of Mahayana Wisdom
An examination on the role of wisdom in Buddhism. In particular, investigating the qualities of Mahayana wisdom and how this differs from worldly wisdom. By knowing this value of Mahayana wisdom, we can aspire to develop this liberating insight. This teaching draws from the contemporary Chinese Master Yinshun and his work, “Synopsis on the Practice of Wisdom in Buddhism.”
