Christa Baiada earned her Ph.D. from the CUNY Graduate Center in Literature. She specializes in 20th and 21st Century Multiethnic American Fiction. In addition to composition courses, she teaches Asian American Literature, Latinx Literature, Italian American Literature, and is developing a new course of African American Women Playwrights. She has published articles on the word of Lois Ann Yamanaka, Chang Rae Lee, and Susan Choi among others. Her current interests focus on sexuality and representations of maternity in contemporary fiction and memoir by American women writers.
