Theater: GUT (굿) Act 2: Memoirs

Memoirs (Act 2) is the second act of GUT (굿), a three-act autobiographical hybrid/dance work and the fifth and final installment of Soomi Kim’s series exploring mortality in Korean and Asian American lives. Act 2: Memoirs examine the complex legacy between a Korean American daughter and her immigrant father, as she pieces together the history of a man she never truly knew. Set between 1950s postwar Korea and present-day America, Memoirs traces a poetic journey through grief, fragmented memory, and complicated love—asking: how can we let go when grief is a knot of longing and regret?
