Teaching AAPI Cross-Cultural Solidarity to Grades 6-12
Feb 18 at 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities have played active roles in U.S. history, yet their narratives and contributions are often overlooked. When included in curricula, AAPI stories are frequently taught in isolation, with little attention paid to moments of cross-cultural solidarity and collective struggle with other communities. This workshop seeks to bridge that gap by equipping educators with historical context, shared narratives and tools to teach AAPI history through a lens of connection and solidarity.
