Stand Together (New York): Commemoration of March 16

Mar 16 at 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM

To commemorate the third anniversary of the 03/16/2021 Atlanta Spa Shootings, we gather to honor the victims and their families, and to reinforce a message of unity, resilience, and community strength. This year’s theme, Stand Together is a poignant reminder of our collective commitment to standing united against hate and violence.

Our theme underscores our dedication to fostering a community where solidarity and mutual support are our strongest responses to acts of racial and ethnic intolerance. As we remember those lost, we also celebrate the power of coming together, highlighting our shared resolve to create a more inclusive and compassionate NYC.

Our target audience(s) are community members, local leaders and activists, representatives from Asian American civil rights groups, families and friends of the victims, and the general public. Come join us in commemoration, hear from speakers and activists, participate in workshops, and share your thoughts and experiences.

Our objectives for this event is to drive solidarity in support and look ahead by creating space for intentional, intimate, and meaningful discourse across our community.

For those who cannot join in person, the event will also be streamed live and available on demand. Please see https://www.asianjusticemovement.org/ for more information.
