So, What Can We Do?”: From Awareness to Advocacy in Asian Community Mental Health

Dr. Lisa Suzuki’s research team is working to understand the impact of race-based trauma in the Asian American community and plans to share their scholarship through a research and community in-person event. The panel will focus on updating attendees about the pressing issues facing Asian communities in New York City. It aims to empower attendees with practical insights, enabling them to undertake meaningful advocacy to address the community’s challenges. This event is funded by the NYU Steinhardt Office of Diversity, Equity, and Belonging’s Diversity Innovation Grant.
 
The diverse speakers will share their expertise, representing a range of institutions throughout New York City.
