Selected Shorts: A Portrait of an Author on Fire

In honor of fiction writer Mieko Kawakami’s visit to NYC, we are partnering with Selected Shorts for an evening featuring Kawakami’s groundbreaking work alongside that of her extraordinary, eclectic peers, including Han Kang, Banana Yoshimoto, and more. Performed live by acclaimed readers including Ophira Eisenberg (The Guardian, Ask Me Another), Midori Francis (Grey’s Anatomy, The Sex Lives of College Girls), Sonia Manzano (Sesame Street, Alma’s Way), and Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother, Hunters), these stories by contemporary East Asian women writers will surprise, delight, and linger in the mind long after the show is over.

Please note: Mieko Kawakami will not appear at this event. Actors subject to change.
