  • Hon. L. Austin D’Souza, Judge of the New York City Civil Court, Kings County, and Commissioner of the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission.

Panelists include

  • Professor Louis Jim of Brooklyn Law School, Professor Joy Kanwar of Brooklyn Law School, Professor Thomas H. Lee of Fordham Law School, and
  • Professor Vinay Harpalani of University of New Mexico School of Law. 

The Dean of Brooklyn Law School will also bring greetings for the program.

 

This will be both a court and community event and, as such, members of the legal community and community groups will be invited to attend.  The program is being co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Law School, the New York State Court System’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Asian American Judges Association of New York (AAJANY), Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY), Asian Jade Society of the New York State Courts, Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York (FALANY), Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY), South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABANY), and the Thirteenth Judicial District Equal Justice in the Courts Committee.  Our keynote speaker is Professor Shirley Lin of Brooklyn Law School.
