New York Special Community Screening: The Race Epidemic

May 4 at 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM

On Saturday, May 4th, we are excited to kickoff AAPI Heritage Month in NYC with a special screening of the award-winning documentary, The Race Epidemic. This PBS distributed film explores racism, xenophobia, hate and violence that marginalized groups have faced throughout the history of America.

The event is hosted by Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) President Michael Lee and the post screening panel discussion will be moderated by President/CEO of the Chinese American Planning Council (CPC) Wayne Ho.

Join us for this important screening that addresses historic AAPI discrimination in our society and how AAPI voices have been historically challenged and silenced. After the screening there will be a panel discussion with the documentary’s creator Ron Wong and NYC’s AAPI Elected and Appointed officials.
