Hawaiian History Month: Queen Liliuokalani Webinar

Sep 26 at 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

In honor of Hawaiian History Month, join us to learn more about Queen Lili’uokalani (1891-1893), the last reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Hawai’i. This workshop will focus on the Queen’s legacy leading up to and following the U.S. overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy in 1893. A musician, writer, and social justice activist, Queen Lili’uokalani used her platform and skills to instill national pride, fight for Hawaiian sovereignty, and resist annexation.

This workshop is free for educators and will take place virtually. It will be facilitated by Gi Gonzales.
