Global Racism and the Dark Side of “Modernity”

Join us for AAJIL’s Foundations, the second leg of our Core Community Racial Justice Trainings, facilitated by AAJIL founder and board member; Dr. Sandra So Hee Chi Kim. These sessions focus on aspects of systemic racism that ideologies of whiteness strategically invisibilize: the function of Asian racializations and oppressions within a white-dominant societal complex built upon anti-Indigenous and anti-Black infrastructures.

This session takes a deep dive into understanding systemic racism, with a focus on institutional racism as the historical engine of global “modernity.”

These 3 sessions comprise the Foundations level of AAJIL’s Core Community Racial Justice Trainings. The third and final level of AAJIL’s Core Community Racial Justice Trainings will be Formations.
