Asian Americans in the Ivory Tower

Speaker: Frank H. Wu, President, Queens College/CUNY

Frank H. Wu has served as the president of CUNY Queens College since July 2020. He is the first Asian American to serve in this role. He previously served as chancellor and dean at the University of California Hastings College of Law and faculty at Howard University. He received a BA from the Johns Hopkins University and a JD with honors from the University of Michigan. He completed the Management Development Program of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Wu is the author of Yellow: Race in America Beyond Black and White and co-author of Race, Rights, and Reparation: Law and the Japanese American Internment. He blogged regularly for six years at Huffington Post, and his work has appeared in multiple national news outlets including The New York Times, Washington Post, and Chronicle of Higher Education
