Asian American Forum: Pioneering Radio Program Reunion Panel

Aug 13 at 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

A virtual panel discussion of former guests on the “Asian American Forum,” a pioneering weekly radio program that aired on public radio in Connecticut from 1990 to 1996. Moderated by Edward Lim, former Business Librarian at the University of Connecticut.

The Asian American Forum (AAF) was created and hosted by Dr. Paul Bock and Mrs. Phoebe Ten Yin Ho Bock, and was the first Asian American college radio program on the East Coast. The collection represents vital oral history documenting Asian American perspectives primarily from the Northeast corridor, with additional representation from Washington, California, Hawaii, and other U.S. regions. Later in life, the Bocks moved to Seattle and donated their collection of AAF episodes originally recorded on audio tape to the Wing Luke Museum.
